Buyer Registration
The ABC Kids Expo is a wholesale environment and is only open to the trade. Admission is free to qualified buyers. In order to attend the show, you must submit our registration form and provide any necessary documentation as detailed below.
Badges will be mailed to all attendees in the USA and Canada who have registered and been approved prior to August 31, 2013. International attendees and those individuals who have registered after this date must pick up their badges during badge pickup/registration hours.
Required Documentation
Independent Retailers (Show/Hide Details)
Independently owned and operated stores within the U.S., Canada and Mexico. Must have physical store front and not be publicly traded.
In order for your registration to be approved, you must submit the following:
- A copy of your current resale tax certificate, business license or store lease (first page & signature page).
- A photo of the store front clearly showing your store sign (name & logo).
- Company paycheck stub or cancelled payroll check for each employee*

Company ID with employee and company name for each employee.*
* Not required for immediate family members
For retailers planning to attend that do not yet have a store in operation, you must provide a copy of the signed lease (front and signature pages) and show evidence that you plan to open an independent retail store prior to December 31, 2013.
Note: If you have previously attended the ABC Kids Expo as an independent retailer, it is not necessary to submit this documentation.
International Retailers (Show/Hide Details)
All retail buyers from outside the United States, Canada, or Mexico. Excludes International mass marketers, chains and online-only entities.
In order for your registration to be approved, you must submit the following:
- Legal documents issued in your country showing business name and address translated to English.
- A photo of the store front clearly showing your store sign (name & logo).
- Copy of VAT tax number or tax identification card from your country.
- Copies of invoices from at least six different exhibitors showing purchases of at least $5,000 in the previous six months.
- Copy of business brochure or advertisement.
For retailers planning to attend that do not yet have a store in operation, you must provide a copy of the signed lease (front and signature pages) and show evidence that you plan to open an independent retail store prior to December 31, 2013.
Note: If you have previously attended the ABC Kids Expo as an International retailer, it is not necessary to submit this documentation.
Importers/Exporters/Foreign & Domestic Distributors (Show/Hide Details)
Show attendees who import, export or distribute products.
In order for your registration to be approved, you must submit the following:
Importer/Exporters:
- A copy of recent catalogs, sell sheets, or advertisements and a letter stating the names of companies for whom importing/exporting is conducted.
- A Copy of VAT tax number or tax identification card from your country.
- Personalized imprinted business cards for each attendee.
- Copies of invoices from at least six different exhibitors showing purchases of at least $5,000 in the previous six months.
Foreign & Domestic Distributors:
- All of the above, plus a list of companies for whom you are a distributor.
- Copies of invoices from at least six different exhibitors showing purchases of at least $5,000 in the previous six months.
Note: Suppliers to manufacturers confirmed for the 2013 ABC Kids Expo must register as a guest and pay the registration fee.
Note: If you have previously attended the ABC Kids Expo as an importer/distributor, it is not necessary to submit this documentation.
National & International Chains/Mass Marketers (Show/Hide Details)
Chain or department stores that operate on a national or international basis and includes publicly traded companies.
In order for your registration to be approved, you must submit the following:
- A copy of your current resale tax certificate or business license.
- Company paycheck stub or cancelled payroll check for each employee*

Company ID with employee and company name for each employee.*
- Your website address showing product categories & store location finder
*Not required for immediate family members
Note:
If you have previously attended the ABC Kids Expo as a national chain/mass marketer, it is not necessary to submit this documentation.
Privately held regional chains should register as Independent Retailers.
Internet-based Retailers (Show/Hide Details)
For retailers who sell exclusively online and do not have a physical store front.
In order for your registration to be approved, you must submit the following:
- A copy of your current resale tax certificate or business license.
- A link to a fully operational, existing website.
- Company paycheck stub or cancelled payroll check for each employee*

*Not required for immediate family members
Note: If you have previously attended the ABC Kids Expo as an internet retailer, it is not necessary to submit this documentation.
Catalog/Mail Order Businesses (Show/Hide Details)
For entities who primarily sell through the mail.
In order for your registration to be approved, you must submit the following:
- A copy of your current resale tax certificate or business license.
- A copy of most recent catalog, brochure or direct mail pieces.
- Company paycheck stub or cancelled payroll check for each employee*

Company ID with employee and company name for each employee.*
- Invoices showing purchases of juvenile products from at least 5 confirmed exhibitors.
*Not required for immediate family members
Note: If you have previously attended the ABC Kids Expo as a catalog/mail order business, it is not necessary to submit this documentation.
Home-based Enterprises (Show/Hide Details)
For individuals who operate on a small scale and sell directly from their homes.
In order for your registration to be approved, you must submit the following:
- A copy of your current resale tax certificate or business license.
- Company paycheck stub or cancelled payroll check for each employee*

Company ID with employee and company name for each employee.*
- Invoices showing purchases of juvenile products from at least 5 confirmed exhibitors.
*Not required for immediate family members
Note: If you have previously attended the ABC Kids Expo as a home-based enterprise, it is not necessary to submit this documentation.
Interior Designers/Decorators (Show/Hide Details)
Licensed professional designers and decorators.
In order for your registration to be approved, you must submit the following:
- Professional membership card.
- Current state certification.
- A copy of your current resale tax certificate or business license.
- Picture of showroom showing use of juvenile products.
Note:
All inerior-designers/decorators must submit above documentation each year to qualify.
Clients may not attend the show.
